Educator, Mother, & Advocate

Meet Sally

I believe that it’s more important now than ever to invest in Hoosiers. Because when we invest in schools and our communities, people thrive.

I met my husband, Joe, when we were both college freshmen. He earns his living as a chemical engineer. Our daughter, Ingrid, is in the ASM program through EVSC and attends Harrison High School, and our son, Jack, has severe special needs and is in a self-contained classroom at Bosse. Now that Jack has moved to his group home placement, Ingrid is excited about being the only child at home. Of course, the dogs, Oliver and Stanley, are still the rambunctious boys of the family.

There is a place for

all of us in District 78

My career has been about service—fifteen years as a public school teacher, decades of advocating for vulnerable students, and a track record of working across divides to get things done. I believe that our community thrives when everyone has an opportunity. I’m committed to listening to you, learning from you, and leading with you to bring lasting change to District 78

Frequently asked questions

This campaign is built on listening, not guessing. Below you’ll find answers to the questions I hear most when knocking on doors or chatting with people in the community. My goal is to be transparent and responsive—because when we understand each other, we can make real progress together.

  • I am running as a Democratic candidate, but if elected, I would happily serve and represent all constituents in District 78.

  • I’m proud that this campaign is people-powered. That means I accept donations from individuals, families, and unions, but not from AIPAC, corporations, or special interests that try to buy influence. This race will be won by neighbors investing in neighbors.
